Many OSHA standards explicitly require you as the employer to train employees in the safety and health aspects of their jobs. Other OSHA standards make it the employer's responsibility to limit certain job assignments to employees who are "certified," "competent," or "qualified"- meaning that they have had a special training. In addition to employee training, OSHA is placing the burden of compliance with some parts of the regulations specifically on building and facility owners and managers. ISES personnel evaluate the training requirements which are applicable to a particular location, process or situation. ISES will then develop the required programs, along with the documentation to satisfy OSHA's record-keeping requirements. All courses include a written examination or evaluation at the completion of the course. In addition to company documentation, students will be issued a certificate of completion and/or a pocket card which identifies.
